Is it permissible for my wife to meet her parents/siblings, who are Hindu, in light of Shariah?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
My wife is a converted from hinduism to ISLAM 4 years back, prior to our Nikaah. Now she observe all Salah & read Quraan daily –Alhamdulillah. My family is not allowing her to meet her parents(those who are hindu’s) probably for the different culture reason & any future faith clash issues for my child. My wife is now staunch ISLAM follower, i have full confidence that she can never be diverted from ISLAMIC belief/faith-As a human being , one can understand the mother/daughter relation sister/brother relation…which don’t see the religion boundaries, Sometime i feel as if my wife is missing something, My in laws also don’t have any issues for my wife turning to ISLAM, Please guide me whether my family imposed decision of not letting my wife to meet her parents/sibling is correct in the light of shariah??????

(Fatwa: 3/6=L/1429)

If someone’s parents are non-Muslims, Islam does not forbid him/her to behave well with parents and visit them. But, if it is feared that they will force her to leave Islam then you can ask her parents and sisters to visit her in your home.
