I would like to know what is the ruling of a female unmarried girl working in another country away from home without any mahram. Due to financial problems she had to go out of her home to support her family. Is the income considered halaal?

If the occupation of the female is fair and permissible then her income is halal. But, a woman is not allowed to travel a distance of Safar (journey of nearly 78 KM) or live there without husband or Mahram (immediate relatives):
لا تسافر امراة الا و معھا محرم (رواہ البخاری و مسلم و زاد مسلم فی روایة او زوج)
