Should I marry a man with good conduct and love for salah, even if his family is not as rich as mine?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
I saw a dream a week ago, before Fajr. I saw that three adult pigs and a small one were standing outside the main entrance of my house. They were standing there with the intention to get in the small one because of small size was trying to get in through the spaces in the gate. When I saw that, I ran hurriedly and closed the gate and read Astaghfirullah. Then I woke up. I would like to make a note here that these days almost every time I am thinking about my marriage. I am a 26 year old girl belonging to a decent upper middle class family. I want to marry a man because of his good conduct, his love for salah, he has never abandoned his prayer since age six, he is a scientist in Delhi. In environment like Delhi, he never got influenced by it, I am too a scientist. My family does not approve this proposal because he is not as good looking as me neither his family is as rich as mine but our family status is same. They give me proposals from rich and famous families.

The pig seen in dream is interpreted as a person of grandeur in whose nature and religion there is baseness, and if one sees it in the dream then it is interpreted with haram wealth. In the light of this detail the meaning of your dream is that you are right in choosing your marriage proposal on the basis of religion. And those who want to choose the proposal on the basis of wealth and worldly possession it is not right. It is a good step to disapprove their act and oppose it. It is mentioned in hadith that the preferred basis of nikah are four: (1) Beauty. (2) Wealth. (3) Power and designation. (4) Religiousness. Then the holy Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said that you should make the religiousness first priority. (Bukhari and Muslim, Mishkah 267)
Also it is sunnah to do istikhara before choosing the proposal. Its method is mentioned in Bahishti Zewar.
