We have been asked to visit graveyard to remember the death and the world hereafter. It is proved that the Prophet (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) visited graveyard on the fifteenth night of Shaban, therefore one can go there occasionally in order to remember death and isal-e-sawab (deliver the rewards to the dead). But considering it necessary, going in congregation, lighting the graveyard, burning candles etc are innovations in religion.
