Does ones mother-in-law and father-in -law have the status of ones parents after nikah? Does a women have to look after them and obey them as she would to her own parents? What rights do they have upon her?

Answer

(Fatwa: 1116/970=L/1429)

The parents in law also are like real parents; one should have good conduct with them as well like his own real parents.
