Can I ask the person giving me a bribe to pay my Income Tax as it is unislamic?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
Assalam ? o alaikum, I am working in a Maharashtra state government office where giving bribes( Rishwat) is not a new thing. But I do not accept it. Annually I pay @ ( 20%of my annual income)Rs.35000 as Income Tax and approximately Rs.25,000 as Zakat. This total sum is a bit big amount for me. My question is Can I ask the person giving me bribe to pay my Income Tax as I think income tax taken from us is unislamic. It is taken deliberately from us. As in some Islamic countries like Saudi your income is totally tax free. If there is a jawaz for it it will reduce the burden on me.Assalam-o-alaikum.

It is not lawful to pay income tax with bribe money. If you do not like the income tax you can adopt any other way in compulsion like life insurance etc. However, the extra amount that you receive is interest which should be given to the poor without the intention of reward.
