One day, to my surprise, my wife left my home with all her belongings, articles, ornaments, furnitures etc. on 24-07-2005. (We got married on 04-01-2004) For this she herself alongwith her sister and mother came to my residence and told me that she is not interested in living with me and wanted to leave by stepping out of marriage and severing all the relationship. She even openly said that she is taking khul-aa (dissolving marriage by wife). Later on the same day she left with all her belongings. Eversince then we are living separetly. By profession she is a Govt. College Professor.I’m a Govt. She is suffering from Paranoid Schizophrenia ( a mental disorder wherein a patient hear and see non existant objects and reacts accordingly ). She and her parents were not inclined to the Psychiatric treatment being imparted by the hospital i’m entitled to for free treatment for myself and family. I’m a Govt. PSU employee. I’m living in my parental house. My other brother and sister are/is married and settled elsewhere. My parents are not alive. I don’t have any issue with this marriage. My only liability is my younger sister who is a divorcee. All efforts to reconcile the matter proved vein. I’m alone. Nobody is there to help/lookafter me in my time of crisis/sickness. After such a prolonged separation and the atrocitis and humiliation I was subjected to by my estraged wife when she was living with me, I’m traumatised and even like to forget this relationship. Under these circumstance please guide me what should i do ? Please issue a religious edict (fatwa).
