What are the rules regarding when Walima should be held after the meeting of the bride and groom?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
What are the rulings of having walima? How soon after the meeting of the bride & groom should walima be held?

Answer

(Fatwa: 191/L)

(1) When husband and wife meet first time, it is recommended for husband to invite his relatives and friends to a feast (walima) as per his capacity.

(2) The walima can be held in the morning or the other day. Inviting people to a feast after that will not be called as walima:
