For marriage the girl side members are arranging the dinner. It is allowed for us (my side) to eat. And also I am arranging dinner for walimah for about 800 members. Is it allowed? Mehr and all other things are ok.

If the arrangement of meal from girl’s side is not based on any ritual and it is free from show and other evils then there is no harm in participating it. If Allah has given capacity then you can invite 800 people in the walimah provided it is not for show. Mahr is the right of wife which is alright without any doubt. What do you mean by ‘other things’?
