Can a pensioner lead salah if their pension funded their son’s Alim/Hafiz studies?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
A person by name Wahab was working in the bank throughout his life. Recently he has been retired and gets pension of Rs 16000/. He has made his son Alim and Hafiz from the same money which he earned from the bank. I want to know that if we offer salah behind him, is it alright and lawful.

Answer

(Fatwa: 425/425/M=1433)

If that Alim is not involved in interest based dealing and haram business rather he considers the interest based employment of bank as unlawful and shows his disapproval as per his capacity and takes every measure to save himself from interest apart from having other qualities of imamah, then it is right to offer salah behind him.
