What distinguishes Salafis from Maaturidis?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
asslamu aleykum, 1.Are the aqeedah differences between salafis and maaturidis like the differences between shafi and hanafis. Meaning that both are accepted. Or are the differences like the differences of shia and sunnis? Meaning one is haq and the other batil, please explain. 2.If all the other saffs in salaah are full and you are joining the salaah i heard that you shouldnt start the saff by yourself, you should grab someone from the other saff or get someone else to start the new saff with you, is this correct?

(Fatwa: 72/72=L)

(1) Yes, the difference between Salafi and Maturidi as per belief is like that of Hanafi and Shafei i.e. both are acceptable; they are not different like Shia and Sunni.

(2) This masla is right that if a person does not find space in the queue he should wait the imam till ruku, if some other joins him, both should line up behind the imam. In case no one came then he can take any person from the front row to back and queue up with him, but this is only when the person who is being taken back is aware of the masla, otherwise it is better to stand alone behind the imam:

والاصح ما روی ھشام عن محمد انہ ینتظر الی الرکوع فان جاء رجل والا جذب الیہ رجلا او دخل فی الصف، قال مولانا البدیع: والقیام وحدہ اولی فی زماننا (منظومۃ بن وھبان: 1/59، الوقف المدنی الخیری)
