ASSALAMWALEKUM. My friend has given his property on rent basis . He has given his property on heavy deposit basis (Rs.4 lacs )and rent is only Rs .100 per month . Pls tell me that income earning from this is HALAL or not?

If, by heavy deposit, you mean the ongoing pagdi system that is received at the time of giving a house or shop at rent, so this pagdi system which is the compensation of entry right, is not in accordance with Shariah.
And if you mean something else, explain it and then you shall be answered.
