Is it mandatory to have a sleep between Isha and Tahajjud Salah?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
Is it mandatory to have a sleep between Isha and tahajjud salah? During Ramadan people are used to awake throughout night and in the last part of night they are used to perform tahajjud salah then go for sehri, somebody said it is wrong.

Answer

(Fatwa: 1909/1538/B=1432)

It is not necessary to sleep between Isha and Tahajjud. If someone stays awake throughout night and performs Salah al-Tahajjud before dawn, it will also be called tahajjud. It is not right to term it as wrong.
