ASSALMUALAIKUM, My daughter name is shazia saleem i want to know what is the meaning of name and this name is good or not my husband didn’t ask anybody when he choose the name. plz send me replay soon. jazakallah

(Fatwa: 281/208/L=1432)

Shazia means: a female who spread fragrance. In itself, this name is good; however if you chose a name from among the names of the holy wives, holy daughters or Sahabiyat, it is far better.
