Is insurance allowed in Islam? If yes, on what things? (e.g. car, medical, office) – Oman.

Assalamualikum ” Kia islam mey Insurence jayaz hai? agar hai to kin cheezo per jayaz hai? yaha Oman mey Car, Medical, Office, Insurence karwana padta hai

Answer

(Fatwa: 1951/1815=D/1429)

(1) Life insurance is unlawful since it includes interest and gambling.

(2) If the car insurance is so necessary that no driving license is permitted without it then it is permissible due to need. But, one should not demand the additional amount and should take only as much money as deposited.

(3) Medical insurance is also unlawful.

(4) What is Office Insurcne? Write it clearly.
