Is the mimber (pulpit) is must in a mosque or not?

Answer

(Fatwa: 583/383/L=1431)

It is mustahab and Sunnah to install pulpit in a mosque:

قال العينى فى عمدة القارى فى باب الخطبة على المنبر: و فيه استحباب اتخاد المنبر لكونه أبلغ فى مشاهدة الخطيب والسماع منه (عمدة القارى: 6/216) و فى الطحطاوى على مراقى الفلاح : و ذكر البدرالعينى فى شرح البخارى أن من السنة اتخاذ المنبر عن يمين المحراب (طحطاوى على مراقى الفلاح: 278)
