Is visiting graves and saying salam bidah? Are Najd hadiths about Wahabbism or Iraq?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
salam mufti sahab. 1.Can the dead people hear? 2.going to the graves and saying salam to the dead.. is it proven or is it a bidah..? 3.many people quote sahih hadith about najd(birthplace of muhammad ibn abdul wahab) to be a cursed place. does thez hadiths about najd and horn of satan reffering to najd and wahabbism or najd is reffered to as iraq?

Answer

(Fatwa: 386/274/H=1432)

(1) The faculties cease to function after death. However, there is no hindrance if Allah gives a dead one the power and sense of hearing and he hears.
(2) It is proved to do salam while entering graveyard according to sunnah. If someone does any bidah work, it is obviously wrong.
(3) Ask those people who are educated to mention the hadith as well as the comments of commentators of hadith, then in-sha-Allah, you shall be replied in detail.
