Is it permissible to do business with pets in Islam?

Kindly answer the following questions: (1) In My area one Muslim guy opened a Dog Farm and he buys and sells variety of dog breeds. He also does dog husbandry and caging. Kindly let me know, whether this business is permissible in Islam. (2) Doing business of pets is allowed in Islam? If so, which pets?

Answer

(Fatwa: 512/436/B=1433)

(1) If it is for the purpose of any benefit then it is allowable.
(2) It is lawful to do the business of domestic animals like cow, ox, buffalo, goat, sheep, and camel etc.
