Is working as a cashier in a store selling haraam items halaal earning?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
I would like to know if working in a store that sell clothes, food, candies, wine, milk etc. be halaal earning if you are working as a cashier? What if the store doesn’t sell wine but has other haraam things like haraam candy and magazines will the earning be halaal?

Answer

(Fatwa: 1109/1029=B)

A Muslim is neither allowed to work in such a store nor is his earning allowed. He should look for a job in any store dealing in halal items.
