Is life insurance agent work allowed in Islam?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
Dear Mufti sahab, As salaam wailaikum. Is it allow in Islam to work as a life insurance agent, against which someone should get commissioned.

Answer

(Fatwa: 762/571=L/1430)

Life insurance contains interest as well as gambling and both these things are unlawful by Quran and Hadith. Therefore, working as agent of life insurance is helping in sin, so it is prohibited by Shariah.
