Is it permissible for someone to use their name “Muhamin” as a nickname even though it is one of the 99 names for Allah?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
My brother’s full name is AHMAD AL MUHAIMIN (nick name MUHAIMIN). MUHAIMIN is one of 99 names of Allah. Is there any problem if he is called only MUHAIMIN?

Answer

(Fatwa: 1248/1248/M=1432)

One should not call you only Muhaimin rather one should call you Abdul Muhaimin or with your real name.

Allah (Subhana Wa Ta’ala) knows Best
