Why haven’t I been blessed with a dream of Rasulallah despite my devotion?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
By the Mercy and Grace of Allah, i offer five times salat daily with jammat, i have a beared, wear topi, enjoin tableeghi jamaats and try to follow as much sunnahs as i can, but never have i ever been blessed with the sight of rasulallah in a dream. I sometimes hear about some people who have just started practicing the deen and that too for a few weeks or so and in couple of weeks he is blessed with such a blissful sight, and to me many years have passed and i havent had such a dream. I do not mean that its my right to see the prophit of Allah in my dream or that i deserve it, on the contrary i feel i am quite a sinful person, but i want to ask 1) is there something that i am missing in my ibadaats or ikhlaas? do i have to do dua or wazeefa for it? 2)Does seing the prophit in the dream means that a person will be righteous through out his life? because i have seen people who have had the privelege of a such dream but they now rarely offer salat. 3) is it so that every pious person sees the prophit peace be upon him in dream? Does every alim, mufti, sheikh sees him in his or her dream?

It is not a sign of piousness to see the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) in dream and neither is it a source of salvation. Do not worry about this. Get your heart pure from all low morals like love of wealth, love of prestige, ego, greed and display, and get it filled with good morals like sincerity, humility, fear of Allah, kindness and good conduct with near ones. In order to achieve these things, get bai?ah (solemn promise) on the hands of any aalim who follows Shariah and Sunnah of the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) and who has experience of guiding people. And, engage yourself in the Zikr and acts prescribed by him for you. Moreover, recite durood as much as you can, in-sha-Allah you will visit the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) in your dream.
