Assalam-o-alikum; Mujhe deeni talim or kaam or usk ewaz ujrat k hawale se masla deriyaft fermana tha k jesa abu dawd ki hadis number 3409 mein riwat derj he ne nez Ap S.A.W ka irshaad e mubarak he “ALLAH k rasul (SAW) ka hukum ta k aesa azan dyny wala muqarar kro jo apni azan pr ujrat na ly.” (Abu daud jild 1,sanan Nisai jild 1,masnad Ahmed jild 4, Mushkat).” or Mushkat mein safah number 258 “Baab ul ajr alal taaleem ul quran” mein jo riwayat he………. beraye meherbani meri is muamley mein rehnumayee fermayein. k deeni kaam or taleem k ewaz ujrat durust he k nahi nez yeh k in ahadees e mubarika kee kya dirayat he or inse kya nateeja akhuz kya jasakta he………mera taalluq fiqh hanafi se he, Hazrat Imam abu Hanifa ka is baare mein kya fermaan he………..meri is muamle mein aanat fermayein.

The earlier Hanfi Ulama (Imam Abu Hanifah and his disciples) are of the view that it is unlawful to take charges for prayers, but the latter Ulama have allowed it fearing that the religion may go lost:

قال العلامۃ السھارنپوري في بذل المجھود علی شرح أبي داؤد: واختلف العلماء في أخذ الأجر علی الأذان فمنعہ أبو حنیفۃ وأصحابہ وأما المتأخرون منھم فأفتوا بجوازہ، قال في الھدایۃ: وبعض مشائخنا رحمھم اللہ استحسنوا الاستیجار علی تعلیم القرآن الیوم لظھور التواني في الأمور الدینیۃ، ففي الامتناع تضییع حفظ القرآن، وعلیہ الفتوی (بذل المجھود 1:303، کتاب الصلاۃ، باب أخذ الأجر علی التاذین)

This is the reason that the latter Ulama allowed taking wages for Azan, Imamah, teaching Quran and teaching of other Islamic sciences.
