Can a masjid be rented to a bank?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
Can property belonging to a masjid be rented to a BANK. Can the rent received from property rented to a bank be used for tne expenses of the masjid?

Answer

(Fatwa: 1776/1489=B/1429)

It is makrooh to give mosque property on rent to a bank. It is better not to use the money for the mosque. A mosque is our sacred place and house of Allah; we should use pure money for the same:

ان اللہ طیب، لایقبل الا الطیب

Allah is pure and he likes purity.
