Answer

(Fatwa: 1690/1470=B /1429)

There is no wrong to give Eid gift to children on the occasion of Eid. The custom of cooking and eating halwa on the day of shab-e-baraat has intruded to us from Shias, they celebrate it as the birthday of Imam Ghayeb; we should avoid adopting their custom. Giving salaami money is a customary thing, it is a gift as per the Shariah, there is nothing wrong. One should accept whatever is given, there should be no demand. Also, one should not make it a regular custom.
