Is there any recourse if someone unknowingly utters the words of divorce without full understanding of its implications?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
If a married person does not know how the divorce takes place and he used the word divorce for his wife without knowing its impact and wife does not know about these words. If the husband used these words two times, did talaq take place or not? If it took place then what types of talaq is this, clear words are used.

Answer

(Fatwa: 619/424/D=1433)

For talaq to take place, it is not necessary to know the impact of talaq. Talaq takes place if said in clear words. However it is necessary that it is attributed to wife verbally or virtually. What word did you say, quote the complete sentence and submit the question again.
