Should we compromise our principles when threatened?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
I am a doctor in training. I often experience difficulty in doing my prayers on time and find that I may be risking my chances of succeeding in my program as I risk offending my supervisors who can make my life difficult. Is it ok to delay prayers beyond their proper time and make them up later to protect my standing and chances for success, so that inshallah (God-willing) I can secure a good career. What are the limits of compromising on our principles when faced with intimidation or a threat to our careers or goals in life?
Answer

(Fatwa: 811=770/B)

If you can not pray any Salah in its time then make its Qaza (makeup) later. It is disliked to delay Salah to another time without any pressing situation. If you perform Salah regularly your problems also may be solved and you may succeed in your goals.
