Assalaamualaykum Q) There was a house for sale Zaid had some money(hundred thousand pounds) so he told Bakar the owner of the house before Ramadan that I will by your house for hundred thousand pounds so Bakar said ok and put sold on the house,at present the paper work is going on so untill the paper work is not compeleted Zaid can’t have the keys to the house and he will pay the money to Bakar when the paper work of the house is completed so the question is that Zaid pays his zakaat at the beginning of every Ramadhan, because Zaid hasn’t got the keys to the house,the paper work is not completed and Zaid hasn’t paid Bakar does he have to give Zakaat or not because Zaid has’nt got any money besides that one hundred thousand pounds which he has to give to Bakar?

When Zaid did not pay the amount as price of the house to Bakar and he keeps it with him then Zaid has to pay the Zakah of the same.
