How can one interpret dreams given by Allah?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
Assalamu alaykum. My questions are related to dreams and I ask for interpretation, inshaAllah. 1. My mother dreamed a big snake and the snake told her, ‘I will eat you’. After that the snake surrounded her body and my mother said, ‘Only Allah can help me’. Then she recited Ayatul Kursi and the snake disappeared. 2. I dreamed my 70-year-old female Christian neighbour. I met her in the street at the time just before the sun raises /it wasn’t neither dark, nor light/. The street was empty. My neighbour told me ‘You will all burn in Hell even your young /innocent/ children’. In life she admires us and is tollerant but I am worried about what I saw in my dream. 3. I want to ask how one can interpret the dreams – is it something that is studied or it’s just something given to you by Allah? Jazakumullahu khayran!

Answer

(Fatwa: 1229/1229=H/1429)

(1)     Allah’s help will be with your mother and He will save her from evils of wealth.

(2)     Sometimes, the person who dreams is doubtful in hearing. The Christian female neighbour’s was interrogative negative that means: “Will you all be in hell even your innocent children??  Never! Because of your Islam and faith, this will never happen to you”.

(3)     Art of explaining dream is very difficult and delicate. Had you written your educational qualification, you would have been guided accordingly.
