What are the consequences of a marriage based on false info?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
Assalamualikum Wa Rahmatullah Hiwa Barkatahu, I would like to give you the complete details so as it will be easy for you to give me the answer, the below is are the details, I am a 30 year old male and I am employed in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. For my marriage my parents were searching for girl last year and at last they found a girl who is the daughter of my father’s friend’s sister i.e bhanji of my father’s friend. When asked by my family they provided the photograph and also sent me the same and I approved. The girl’s family told my parents the date of birth of the girl as 02-09-1980 and finally I was married to this girl on 5th January, 2007 with a mutually agreed Meher of rupees 1 lakh. After my marriage I spent exactly 28 days with my wife and after that I returned to Saudi Arabia. Later on, in order to bring my wife here to Saudi Arabia I got family and she arrived here on 30th May, 2007 at 10 pm and at 10.30 pm I found white patches on her legs for the first time and I was shocked. Upon close observation and asking my wife regarding the patches I came to know that she is having the white patches on all her finger tips of her both hands and even on the fingers of both of her legs. I think you understood what the white patches are. Since then I am under a great deal of mental stress and cannot take her any functions nor to visit any of my friends here in Jeddah and when I consulted doctors to know the exact nature of these white patches I got to know that they are called VITILIGO in English and that this disease is hereditary. And also I got to know that my wife’s date of birth is 02-09-1973, where as her father at the time of Nikaah in the masjid has told her date of birth to be 02-09-1980 and they even got a certificate of matriculation mentioning her date of birth as 1980. One more thing is that my wife’s family is the worst liars. I have seen them in every instance they lie. And I am sure that they cannot finish any talk without telling a lie. Taking all these things into consideration and the mental tension these are giving me, I came to a conclusion that I cannot spend the rest of my life with this girl and be related to this sort of a family and I have decided to divorce this girl. Finally, the conclusion is that the girls family has cheated us knowingly and pushed us into a trap by hiding all the details which were necessary to be told before marriage. Please let me know the conditions in detail and the payment which I have to make when I divorce her, keeping in mind in particular their hiding the white patches and her age and the mental stress which I am going through and a bad remark which I have got on marring this girl. Eagerly awaiting your response in this regard. Thanks & Allah Hafiz

(Fatwa: 2333/1029=H)

After khalwat-e-sahiha (meeting wife privately) full mahr (dower) will be payable on you. First of all, white patches have no adverse effect on marital relations; especially they are not deterrent in accompanying her to meet friends. Any mental stress that is based on this reason is not counted according to Shariah i.e. it may not cancel or reduce mahr.
