I am from Afghanistan. I have a question about Gold Zakat,by have many amount of gold zakat is wajib? And what amount zakat should be paid for a gold? and if a wife divide her gold with her husband what is the hukum about this.

(Fatwa: 825/688/B=1432)
(1) The nisab of gold is 7.5 tola. According to present weight, it is 87 gram and 480 milligram. (al-Awzan al-Mahmuda). If someone owns only gold (among all the things in which zakah is wajib) equal to the said quantity and has no other things i.e. cash, business materials, silver etc he will have to pay fortieth part i.e. 2.5% gold or its price as zakah.
(2) What do you mean by “if a wife divide her gold with her husband”? If you mean that the wife gifts her husband half of her jewellery before ending of the year so that zakah is not wajib on her, it is makrooh. And if you mean something else, you should explain it.
