My wife was talking birth control pills but due to consumption of antibiotic the pills got ineffective. She is about 7-8 weeks pregnant and is finding very hard to bring up two small children and at the same time do all the household work. She is also having a variety of health issues. Answer

(Fatwa: 1392/1307=D/1429)

If her health is not good and she is unable to bear the troubles of pregnancy, or it is feared that troubles of conceiving will be intolerable and abortion is advised by any expert Muslim doctor, or it is feared that the next pregnancy will cause harm to the infant, then in all such cases it is allowable to get aborted before four months of conceiving.
