Is it possible for us to reconcile after my husband said “talaq” three times due to pressure?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
salam me and my husband have been married for 11 years and due to not being educated on islam we both were unaware of the procedure, as well as my husband being unaware of the quranic procedures regarding talaq he had been suffering from depression due to a number of reasons.Although we had disagreements in our marriage he never said divorce at all but the situation got out of hand and family got involved he said to me in english i dont want to be with you no more a member of my family forcefully said to him thats not the right way you have to say talaq three times and he said it three times in pressure he regrets what he did as he was already in a bad state of mind but he can take oath that he was unaware of the actual procedure he said he didnt want to be with me himself and then only repeated talaq 3 times together because he was told to do so. we want to reconcile both of us and want an approval.the sharia council in england have said it is classed as one please can you give us your opinion.this is an urgent matter as my iddat will be ending in a week please can you let me know as soon as possible jazakhallah

Answer

(Fatwa: 1421/280/TL=1430)

If your husband gave you three talaqs though unknowingly, the three talaq took place and you were divorced with mughallzah bayinah and became haram for him. There is no way to rejoin by nikah without halalah. فان طلقھا فلا تحل لہ من بعد حتی تنکح زوجاً غیرہ

As far as the decision of Shariah Council England is concerned, we cannot comment until we have all details.
