Is my marriage legal according to Islamic Law if I was the only one present with no witnesses?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
I married a girl on 18.9.2005 at 2 P. M. on Sunday. It was a registry marriege not a conventional social marriege. On my side, only I was present and I had no witness. On the girl side her father, mother, meternal uncle and an aged relative were present. My question is whether the marriege was legal according to Islamic Law as I had no witness? and whether the time was inauspicious?

Answer

(Fatwa: 344/277/D=1431)

It is not necessary to have special witness from your side, rather it is necessary that the meeting of nikah is attended by legal Muslim witnesses and the exchange of nikah words are heard by them. Write in detail how the registry marriage took place, who was present in the meeting and how the words of nikah were exchanged.

(2) No time is inauspicious, such a belief is un-Islamic.
