Is “Mohamed” an appropriate name for my son, or should I add another name?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
Assalamu Alaikkum Mufti Sahib, I am Mohamed Kamil from Tamilnadu. Last week Allah blessed me with a Baby boy, Alhamdulillah. Now I need to select a name for him. I am very much interested in Tabligh Jamaat and I want my son also become a good Tayee for the world. Our local imam suggested the name as ?Mohamed?. Shall I keep the name as ?Mohamed? without adding any other name?. In my mind, I thought a name as ?Mohamed Hanif? or ?Mohamed Mahdi?. As I need to select a name as soon as possible, please give your suggestion on this.

May Allah make him a sincere dayee. Amen! Keep his name as Muhammad with no prefix and suffix, it is best. But, if you add and names as Muhammad Ilyas, Muhammad Yusuf, Muhammad Haneef or Muhammad Mahdi, it is also alright, these are good names, you can choose any of them you like.
