Is it correct to accept gift during marriage? If no, is it acceptable some one accept gift with intention of distributing to poor?

The gift given at marriage by the relatives and friends is generally given unpleasantly just due to custom, while at some place there are complaints in cases when one does not receives them; therefore it not right to accept such gifts.
(2) No, one should not accept it with the intention of distributing to the poor.
