What is the ruling on Tarawee namazz of Ramdhan according to Hadiths?

Today we were sitting and discussing about the Tarawee namazz of Ramdhan. One of my friend told us that it is mandatory to pray 20 Rakaths of Tarawee. Please answer the same in light of hadiths.

Answer

(Fatwa: 705/700=M)

20 Rakat Taraweeh is Sunnah, it should not be missed without any sharai (recognized by Shariah) reason. It is narrated:

کان أبی بن کعب یصلی بالناس فی رمضان بالمدینۃ عشرین رکعۃ و یوتر بثلاث (اعلاء السنن)
