Can I spend KHOJA/HANAFI money without dealing personally?

I am a Doctor (surgeon) a HANAFI Follower MUSHLIM…practicing a private clinic…one of my patient who is a ” KHOJA ” by cast from CANADA.. he have send me Rs 700 Dollars ( 23,000 Rs) telling to spend money for poor “OUR” peoples…in his letter to me….!!! NOw question is I am practicing totally 100 % HALAL Proffession…..and I never take even a tea for drinking of an UNKOWN person on ground Of TAKWA of halal or haram masail.!! Now as he is a KHOJA Person and secondly i dont know him and his way of earning wether halal or haram….of from what fund he has send the money….!!! Now my Question is CAN I SPEND those money for my Poor patient of HANAFI Or other mushlim…. and If i can use it hoe to Spend so that I dont get Involved in dealing personally…….as I am afrais of ALLAH too much as far as MONEY and INcome is concerned…!!!

If you are sure or nearly sure that it is haram money then you should return it to him, otherwise you are not responsible to investigate the matter, you are responsible only to distribute it among the poor correctly:

و حمل فعل المسلم علی الصحۃ والحل واجب ما امکن الا ان تقوم البینۃ (المبسوط للسرخسی: 17/735)
