Can I work in a non-Islamic bank and save for higher education with a sufficient salary?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
Can we do the job in the bank? the operation of which is not islamic like ICICI, RBI, STATE BANK etc.Even if some one is in great need of money for higher education? For example I am working with the call centre where I have to work at night. and the salary i am getting is not sufficent to support my hiegher education. In that case if i get an oppurtunity in the banks which offers me good salary by which i can save some money to go for heigher education. what should I do in this case please suggest?

As per the Shariah, it is unlawful to do such a work in bank where one has to write, maintain record of interest-based transaction or bear witness to it. The Hadith warns those who involve in interest-based transactions. If you need money to get higher education you should achieve it through lawful resources.
