Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
Sir, I have a restaurant in bhendi bazaar area mumbai and in that context would like to seek your opinion that is it right (the Islam way)to keep my restaurant operational even during the Holy month of Rzamzaan. Note:- 1. Major customer are muslim 2. As an indication for making people realize we put curtain on the door of the restaurant and obstruct the view of the inside area. 3. There are 50 people working in the restaurant and earn their livelihood working there. And there are many more issue which I consider being known to you people as this issue has being raised earlier and opinion being seeked for the same. But I wanted myself wanted a direct reply from your side to confirm on this issue. Please reply as it may help me live life Islam way.Thankyou

When you have mostly Muslim customers, you should close your restaurant till Asr in the holy month of Ramadan. Open it after Asr and whatever you have to prepare make it ready till Maghrib, so that those who want to do iftar and want to take food could not face any problem.

For what reason do you put curtain, write it clearly?
