Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
Q1)i am a male, i have 2 real sisters(both married), my parents have expired,we 3 are the only heirs to our parents, for my understanding of calculation i want to know that if my parents have left Rs.100 how it would be divided among us,what would be the exact amount which would come to each one of us… Q2)in the same context i would like to also understand the division of agricultural property inherited

Answer

(Fatwa: 746/514/L=1432)

As per the question mentioned above, if you (three persons) are legal heirs of your parents and at the time of your parents’ death none of their parents were alive, then the entire property of the deceased parents will be divided into four shares; out of which you will receive two shares and your two sisters will receive one-one shares. For example, your parents left 100 rupees, then you will get 50 and your sisters will get 25-25 rupees.
(2) The agricultural property will also be divided in four shares out of which you will get two shares and each sister will get 1-1 share.
