Is trimming or cleaning shave equally sinful for keeping a small beard?

Assalaamualeyikum, I am working in a Multinational company in a senior position and its very difficult to keep the one feast beard in the corporate culture becuase company may ask me to leave if i keep the full beard. I was reading through questions and read that atleat one feast beard is required for a person. I have a small Khat (Small beard), is it better than clean shave??? Will i get any reward for keeping the small beard, because i thought small beard (Khat) is better than clean shave. I go for trimming after every 15-20 days, whereas if i am clean shave then i have to do clean shave after every 1-2 days. Do you mean trimming or cleaning shave is equally sin???
