Can we use (a.s) alaihis salaam when referring to the Prophet’s companions and his family?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
Can we use (a.s) alaihis salaam when referring to the Prophets companions and his family members or we should only use (r.a) radiallahu anho when referring to them?

Answer

(Fatwa: 84/84=M/1429)

Saying raziAllahu anhu for sahaba is the characteristic of Ahlus Sunnah; therefore we should use raziAllahu anhu for the sahaba and the family members of the Prophet (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) instead of alaihis salam.
