What does Shariah say about false theft accusations against an Imam?

Assalam o alaikum I am a pesh Imam of a masjid a member of committee in our masjid has put a false allegation on me that of stealing the money from the masjid acount and I with my full Iman havent done this.what does the sharriah tells about this?looking for justice by quran and sunnah?

Answer

(Fatwa: 1190/916=H)

It is Haram and a major sin to accuse even a common person of theft so what about accusing an imam. This case must be solved mutually with wisdom and understanding.
