Is it permissible to use earnings from questionable sources for Hajj?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
I am a Software Engineer. (1) I was sent to America on short visits on certain assignments. I was eligible for conveyance allowance of ($25/day max) on submitting receipts. As the allowance was very low my friends/colleagues used to take me to buy the essentials and I would pay them of by gifting or by some favor. To claim the conveyance I would take extra receipts from the taxi drivers whenever commuted by taxi and submitted to my organization (about 2-3 receipts per week) as conveyance claim. The managers were also mostly aware of this and would approve it. Is this earning Halal? (2) I was sent on an assignment to UAE. The role I was selected for was such that I had not done before and was unable to deliver 100% to expectations for about 6 months. Also lied to client managers in certain instances, will this corrupt my entire salary? I am going on Hajj In-sha-Allah. Above earnings have mixed with halal earnings and I have already paid 50% of Hajj expenses to agent. Please advice.

Answer

(Fatwa: 2260/H=961/TH=1432)

(1) It is unlawful.
(2) Whatever you spend in hajj, it should be purely halal money. As per the question no 2, whatever mistake you committed and earned income from it is not free from karahah, rather regard it in the category of unlawful.
