Is zakat applicable on money kept in a box, even if it is given to someone to keep?

mere papa mere liye kuch pasa rakhte hai ki humko haj ke liye bhejege aur woh paisa ek box me rakhata paisa kise ko bhi dete hai ki box me rakh do to kya is pasise par zakat hoge

Answer

(Fatwa: 1527/1527/M=1430)

If the money is equal to nisab or it is less than nisab but the nisab completes with other money, then in both the cases, the money collected in box will be liable for Zakah.
