What says the islamic jurisprudence and islamic jurists about the use of suppositories in the Holy month of Ramadhan in lavatories if prescribed by the doctors. Allah bless you with countless rewards in both worlds

Answer

(Fatwa: 1045/1045=J)

The Sawm (fasting) becomes invalid by inserting suppositories in anus or vagina. Therefore, one should adopt any other means of medication or he or she should do it in nights:

أو أدخل أصبعہ الیابسۃ فی دبرہ أو فرجھا ولو مبتلۃ فسد، وقال فی موضع آخر أو احتقن أو استعط الخ قضی (الشامی: ط زکریا: 3/369 و 376)
