Can inter-marriage among relatives be allowed in Islam, considering scientific evidence of disorders in offspring?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
Assalaam Alaikum, My question is… Islam allows inter-marriage, by which i mean marriage among the relatives like marriage of a man’s son to his siblings daughter, or you can say marriage among cusions. As science says that inter-marriage lead to various kind of disorders in the offsprings. What ulama-e-deen have to say about this. Kindly reply keeping in view the scientific aspect as it will help me in my further debates. I’ll be willingly waiting for your reply.

Intermarriage is lawful in Islam i.e. one can marry his (parental or maternal) cousin sisters etc provided there is no other reason of being haram like co-suckling. According to you, as per the science, intermarriage leads to disorder, what you mean by disorder.
