Is Abdullah Yusuf Ali the right author for the English translation of the Holy Quran?

I am reading the English translation of Holy Quran of the following person. The Holy Quran Translated by Abdullah Yusuf Ali Publisher: Kitab Bhavan, New Delhi-110002 Please let me know is this a right author or I should read some other person’s English Translation.

We are unaware of his (Abdullah Yusuf Ali?s) academic status and personality. We only know that the Saudi Arabia government has published his Quran translation, and they publish it after long investigation and research. Therefore, we hope that the translation is correct. There were some mistakes which were rectified. Moreover, you can study the translation of Mufti Taqi Usmani which has been published in Pakistan in two volumes. This translation is certainly authentic.
