Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
Dear Sir, I have built a commercial building by the grace of Allah. The building is now nearing completion. Please advise me if I could rent out the builing to a 1. Bank 2. Insurance Company. 3. Hotel who serves drinks with food. I have also some loans to be paid to the bank in these circumstances please advise accordingly in the matter with Islamic law points.

Answer

(Fatwa: 1488/1215=D/1430)

According to Imam Abu Hanifah, it is allowable to give building on rent for abovementioned matters, whereas it is makrooh according to Sahibain (Imam Abu Yusuf & Imam Muhammad); therefore it is better to give it for other objectives.
